Ascent Vaporizer Review

Ascent Vaporizer Review

Da Vinci has made some modifications and improvements on their original vape, and the result is the Ascent Vaporizer. This is an excellent and versatile vaporizer that’s compatible with both dry herbs and waxy oils.

Ok, so first off the looks of this thing. It’s kind of like a flash back to 2004, it reminds me of an old Motorola flip phone. It’s really sleek and discreet, and comes in a few different colors or designs: stealth (black), carbon fiber, burl wood and skull. It’s also got an OLED on the front that tells you the battery life and the temp. All in all a pretty good looking portable vaporizer.

Now for the usage and performance. The first thing I want to point out is that it’s a little heavier than it looks. It’s not like carrying around a brick, but it’s definitely got some weight to it. By comparison, it’s about half the weight of the Ploom Pax vape pen. It’s an easy vape to use, easy to load up and relatively easy to clean. If you’re using oil then you’ll definitely having to be cleaning it a little more often, but that’s pretty common. The temperature control works really well and is fairly accurate. It takes about a minute or two to heat up and you’ll be good to go. Some people have claimed that it smokes a little hot and you can feel it in your throat. But you just have to find the right temperature that suits you. It’ll heat up to 430 F which is pretty hot. A cool little feature it has though is it’s programmable temp patterns. It’ll allow you to set a range of temperatures that it will automatically adjust to after a set time frame. For example, it can be set to 365° for 2 minutes, increase to 375° for 2 minutes and then up to 385° to finish up.

It’s got a ceramic chamber for the dry stuff, glass oil chamber inserts and a glass airpath. This provides a super clean, great tasting smoke. The smoke you do get from the Ascent isn’t quite as thick as you get from some other vaporizers, but it works just the same. It’s a bit of a slower smoking vape, and what I mean by that is you take slower draws from it.

The battery life is pretty darn good. It’ll last 2-3 hours, with 3 hours kinda pushing it a little. But it’s still a good amount of battery life.

So this is a vaporizer that’s definitely worth buying, especially if you want the versatility of being able to smoke both oils and dry herbs. I recommend this store to buy the Ascent Vaporizer, it’s an authorized dealer and the offer free shipping anywhere in the US.
